Hero Worship

Hero Worship
Oil on ultra fine canvas, framed under glass, 8.75x11" $150 Sold

It seems to me that this little cherry has a big crush on the voluptuous pear.

  1. Mmmmm, and I thought maybe the pear was envious of the cherry's gorgeous red complexion. But then, I'm super partial to red...

  2. The title of this one just made me have to comment. Love it.

Seems you definitely needed to make a corner in your studio for your painting. I am seeing lots of great work being done since that decision.

  3. I love how "juicy" your fruits always look!
A question from a non-painter... Why do you leave the creases in your background fabric? Is it for interesting shadows or some other aesthetic? Could loose folds or wrinkles achieve a similar effect? The creases always look to me like yo were in a hurry to set things up to get to the painting.
I don't paint, and I'm not a critic, but that's always my first reaction when I look at your paintings. Maybe my OCC is showing!
