I love how "juicy" your fruits always look! A question from a non-painter... Why do you leave the creases in your background fabric? Is it for interesting shadows or some other aesthetic? Could loose folds or wrinkles achieve a similar effect? The creases always look to me like yo were in a hurry to set things up to get to the painting. I don't paint, and I'm not a critic, but that's always my first reaction when I look at your paintings. Maybe my OCC is showing!
As an artist, one of my goals is to take risks, try new ideas, and find a way to give myself that 'thrill' that making art can provide. Words of encouragement are always accepted.

Mmmmm, and I thought maybe the pear was envious of the cherry's gorgeous red complexion. But then, I'm super partial to red...
ReplyDeleteThe title of this one just made me have to comment. Love it.
ReplyDeleteSeems you definitely needed to make a corner in your studio for your painting. I am seeing lots of great work being done since that decision.
