I've been trying to fight it to no avail. I am lying low, blowing and hacking.
Send me no flowers, as this too shall pass. But I doubt I'll be doing anything more interesting than tossing tissues into the wastecan and fighting the dog for more of the bed, for a couple of days.
O the dreaded daytime television...
PS:One more thing...Today my sister's husband Terry starts his REAL job and we are all so happy for the family, and especially for him and wish him oodles of success and lots of interesting challenges. He deserves it. He will be the fix-it man for I.T. stuff which is right up his alley, at a large insurance company in downtown Chattanooga. Yay Terry!

Aww... having JUST gotten over my latest bout of cold/sinus infection crap, you have my very deepest sympathies!
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon - we'll miss you while you're gone.
Kisses for Chumley!
(Oh, and PS - I finished my stripe quilt.)
Hope the snortin' & snifflin' are short lived. Sending you hugs. Lots of hot soup helps one sweat that ick out!
ReplyDeleteHey, Melody, try Alka Seltzer Plus. If you follow the directions and take it every 4 hours, you really forget you have a cold. I do Nyquil at night and sleep like a log!! Everyone I've recommended the above to has thanked me!
ReplyDeleteFeel better!
Hope you feel better soon! I'm just finishing round 2 of the same thing in less than 2 months...not fun at all. Congrats to Terry (and is family) on the new job.
ReplyDeleteOh, no!!! Sorry you feel sick ;( I hate when that happens. Too bad you live so far away, I just made some homemade chicken noodle soup and I'd bring you some :)
ReplyDeleteGet some rest.
That hacking coughing snotting thing is a drag, I've been thereand I agree, day time TV is the pits. Where is a good movie when you need one. Take care, Hope you are all better SOON. Yeah for Terry.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry Melody. I can relate-I've lost the entire month of February to the crud. Two rounds of antibiotics and I still don't feel real peppy!
ReplyDeleteYeah for Terry and his family on the new job, I know so many out of work right now that it's a real celebration when a job is found.
Just rest and get better, the toys will be waiting when you feel better.
Take care of yourself. Hope you feel better soon. I've been reading this blog for years and enjoy it so much.
ReplyDeleteSorry you aren't feeling well. Go lie under one of those happy pink quilts and you will feel much better.
ReplyDeleteThe answer to day time TV is Netflix. We have it hooked up through our WII and are enjoying every minute of it
Snuggle in there (if that 's possible when sneeezin and snifflin) and take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon! Im sure Chumley is doing his best to make you feel better. Congrats to Terry and family on the new job!

ReplyDeleteHooray...! for Terry and his family.
Sorry you're puny, but take the opportunity to read a good book, listen to fun music, sleep. The best thing. Then you'll find yourself rummaging thru your stash, and thinking maybe you could cut into a couple of bits. Next thing you know, you'll be read to sew!
ReplyDeleteMel,
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better real soon!
