Ready for some color?

Now that Chumley has the run of the house, and doesn't want to EVER be locked in the studio again, I am free to clean it up of doggie toys and doggie stink, and bring it back to full AHrty-ness. A teeny bit of furniture rearranging was in order, and I was all set. I have a folding table on bedrisers as my fabric table, although as you can see, it does manage to get strewn all over my work surface. I spent quite a lot of time finding my large teflon sheet in the closet. Grrr. But now it is in place and I am moving along, swimmingly.
I couldn't work all that long though as I was a bit arthritic yesterday, and today's dusting of snow proves my forecast of bad weather. Sunday is much better radio so I expect to get a good start today. I like NPR out Nashville and listen to Morning Edition, Says You, Wait Wait, Don't Tell Me, Studio 360 and Prairie Home Companion. Wonderful entertainment for working.

I have my fused fabrics all ready to use, but have also brought out new unfused fabric, just in case I need something I don't have, colorwise. Unfortunately, if that occurs, I have made a big mess of the pressing surface, and would have to clear it off to fuse anything. No worry, I seem to have plenty at hand. Could I ever use it all up?
As for patterns, mentioned yesterday in the comments, here's the thing: When I was out there teaching and bringing my fabric to sell along with my patterns, it worked. But since my designs rely so heavily on the proper hand dyed fabric, they are not so easy to use without it. So my suggestion is to visit Frieda and Laura's sites and buy their patterns and fabric to go along with them.
Phew! Dodged that bullet.
Every now and then the pup wanders into the studio and wants attention, or walkies, so I get a few delightful breaks in my day.

And then at the end of the workday, I reward myself with feet up, cuppa tea at my side and a little knitting on my lap. Lovely.

Melody, I can feel your excitement at being back at the quilting. It is just oozing out of these color drenched pics. I am coveting that huge teflon sheet. Wherever did you get it?
