Print Parade #5

Print Parade #5
Commercial and hand dyed cottons, machine pieced and quilted.
22 1/4 x 21 1/4"
I would have finished this yesterday, but I had an overwhelming need for a nap. I cleared off the guestbed and crawled in and didn't move for three hours. Three hours! That killed my whole day, but I guess I needed it.
I got up early to work on this (with the help of Mr. Moon shining right at eye level, brighter than ever) but checked my email. My sister Brooke sent me this site: www.playlist.com and I got all distracted. Geesh, it doesn't take much. On this site you can search for just about anything from Yo Yo Ma to Los Zafiros (a Cubano doo-wop grupo from the 50's), make up a playlist and listen to all the tunes you like. Free of course. Addictive. Totally. Or you can find someone else's playlist and save hours of dinkin' around. I did that too. Hours later I finally finished yesterday's quilt.
One more to go, as tomorrow is the quilting group meeting. I must have new stuff to show.

  2. I LOVE these! I could see them evenly spaced around a gallery, all at eye level, all properly lit. Wonderful! I have been trying to decide which is my favorite but each time you add another one, it's harder to decide which is my fav. You Rock!

  4. From a fellow blogger, be very, very careful about Playlist. If you were searching around and listening, you may already be surprised what malware, adware and trojans you computer picked up. I took it off my blog site after repeated problams. If your virus program does not include protection against spyware, get your computer checked immediately!! Some were identity stealing little bugs.

  5. Woops, sorry about spelling in earlier post. "you" should be your and "problams" should be problems. My eyes are fuzzy with the flu but I really wanted to make you aware. I regret the day I ever went to the site. Going back to bed now. Good luck with your computer and I really enjoy following your projects.

  6. Number 5 is a gem too! The quilting, buttons and fabric all work harmoniously together to create this happy quilt! I love it! Better get working on the last quilt before your meeting!

  7. I'm totally loving the quilted flowers with the button centers - fabuloso! Those (presumably) gals at the quilt group have now idea how lucky they are...yet...but I'm sure that'll change soon enough!

You know, sometimes a person just has to give in to the nap! Just do it - have a nap!
