Are you tired of pears yet?
I'm not.
The colors and shapes and varieties of shadows they project are too wonderful to stop now.
I am going to keep painting them until they lose their bloom, or until I get it right, whichever comes first. heehee.
What IS it about pears? They just have the best shape!
ReplyDeleteSomething luscious about pears, am enjoying all of the pear paintings.
ReplyDeleteLucy
You really created some wonderful luminosity in your use of color! The interplay of the shadows is wonderful. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteAnd then I noticed the way the pears were standing. They look like they are at a party. The first two are talking, laughing, having a great time. The fourth pear has had a little too much imbibing & has passed out. The third pear is leaning over to check on him.
Happy Painting! Patte
I'm really enjoying these new paintings, they are so delicious!
ReplyDeleteAnd as the pears loose their bloom, perhaps you could make a painting that uses their shadows as the main focal point, and allows the pear 'objects' to be more mysterious. We all love a little mystery sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI love the subtlty (sp?) your new lighting gives!
I am thinking you have got it! Now pass one of those luscious babies this way because they look delicious!
ReplyDeleteThese are so good I can't stand it!
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
The pears are SO darned appealing to me because not only are they luscious, they also affirm my personal body shape of the past few years... tee hee!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work. Just beautiful.
