The Good is the Enemy of the Best

Or whatever that saying is....

A few weeks (months?) ago I bought this shoe storage bag from Wal-Mart, because I had seen something similar at a quilt show. I thought it would work for me, but because the individual bags were mesh fabric, they were not easy to slide my fabric through, and being mesh prevented the view of the fabrics, as I would like. So when I was at Wally's again, I came across the kind I wanted originally, much less $$, so I got it. Now I am happy. Of course I can use the other one for shoes...no problem there.

I like being able to see everything. $6.97, for 24 sections. It weighs a ton, so we'll just have to see how long this lasts.
If you are coming to the Denver Quilt Show in May, I will have these pieces of striped silk available for you. There will be lots of my regular Special Edition Silks too. I will be washing and ironing them today.

It's raining, finally, so I have no more excuses to keep me from my laundry tasks.

  2. Glad to see I'm not the only one trudging through laundry today. But somehow, I have the feeling yours is so much more interesting (LOVE those silks) than my loads of jeans and grass stained toddler garb.

Lots of inspiration today. I'm going to get my closet straightened out right away.

You have been so generous with dyeing information. Could you be persuaded to share info on how you dye silks? Is it the same process that you use on the cottons?
    They are gorgeous!
