The Jacuzzi we never used, and the deep closet in which things stored there got forgotten/lost/irretrievable.
NOW, both are gone and this will be my new walk-in closet. Seven and half by ten feet! This is bigger than Dave's boyhood bedroom! And I get to store stuff here. Yay. What stuff? Not clothes, unless you count knitted garments, which are clothes. But quilts, yarn, linens, more quilts, shoes, and quilts. And art supplies. Big canvases.
The only thing about having more storage space is that one tends to fill it up all over again, and squelching that will be the challenge. I really just want to be able to see and reach what I need without having to unearth it from under something else.
We thought we downsized when we moved here, but of course we didn't nearly unload as much as we should have. I just recently took
Back to quilting that newest quilt top...
Hi Melody,
ReplyDeleteI'm very curious how your closet will look like! It's not easy to organise, but I have good faith you will manage.
Good luck.
Best regards,
Anita
Lucky old goodwill shop, I say! Your home is looking wonderful...but a loo on the porch? Hmmmm...
ReplyDeleteWe just cleaned out our attic and our basement...I couldn't believe the crap we had. I am feeling much lighter.
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of storage in our place - we brought industrial racking with us! Alas it is all full and so are the closets... And MiL and FiL are visiting and I'm reorganising and taking bags of stuff to goodwill. At last I have cleared a little hanging space and shelf space for their clothes!
ReplyDeleteA walk in closet is beyond my ability to imagine at the moment, lol
1) We have one of those tubs, and I would love to remove it. Right now, I have a garden of potted plants on the rim because we have a window right there. Maybe I could have another cupboard put there or shelves!
ReplyDelete2) I've been cleaning our garage for months now... several trips to the dump and our local "Savers" which is like Goodwill. I now have room to put one of the vehicles! Still more cleanup to do, but I'm making progress. I think the secret is to keep at it on a regular basis. Can't wait to see your new closet!
A walk-in closet ... drool.
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of your large closet. Who ever has enough storage? I would love to have less to store, but it seems to be impossible to sell antique glass, china, silver, books etc.
ReplyDeleteIs it done yet? Hope there were no unpleasant surprises (I found a mummified rat in a wall once), and all went smoothly.
