Dave Did It

Dave bought and repainted this desk from a yard sale, and not the one called the World's Longest either, which starts this weekend, and which I am avoiding like the plague. Wall to wall traffic and nothing I need or want. I made him promise not to bring home any more furniture.
I really love how this looks under our stairs. It holds the small stereo and cable box underneath, plus the router for our internet. That chest is there to hide the numerous wires, my standard irritant.

I added stamps, envelopes and return address stickers to the drawers and daily mail will be placed on the flat surface, hopefully keeping it off the dining table.
He used Krylon spray paint and it is really smooth and shiny. What a guy!

    Dave did great!

a great way to contain the MAIL, "I know there is a bill around here = somewhere" ugh.

The picture - quilt just pops yellow with the desk under it.

Truly the hardware is beautiful, he must take it all off - none of this masking tape stuff..... spray Keylon...will have to remember that....lots of old furniture that needs refinishing around here, but paint might actually happen

If Dave loves to do this and you don't need more stuff(!) maybe if he finds something and redoes it, he then can resell it? As you do your knitting? Just a thought. Cheers, Beth

  10. Sometimes...not very often, but sometimes...they know best! What a stunning desk...but what about the chair too? I so know what you mean about cords. Unsightly but necessary...now there's an opportunity for someone to develop. Maybe Dave?
