Baby Pictures

The typical head tilt of Triple T, Tony the Tormentor. Looking as innocent as possible for the camera, he hogs the ottoman with the hippo disguised as a pug, Chumley. Chum is on a strict diet, maintained by Tony who watches every bite of kibble in hopes of sneaking some for himself. Then he chases Chumley back and forth outside and in, making as much noise as possible.

Next, he strikes a pose as Prince of My Heart. Irresistible. Love those jowls.
But seconds later he is back in attack the mound of big dawg mode.

Today's swatch, for Judy S. is Plymouth Kudo, 55% Cotton/40% Rayon/5% Silk and Valley Yarns (WEBS) Goshen, 48% Peruvian Cotton/46% Modal/6% Silk

And quite by coincidence I received two examples of Boxes Stripes, that free pattern I offered earlier this month.
The first from Holly, who writes:
Hi Melody,
Just thought you might like to see what I did with your tutorial. I learned a lot. It is such a fun process too! I'll definitely be trying it again.
Thanks!

Making a pillow is a great way to use up some tryout blocks.

And then from Shirley Van Clay who writes:
Melody,
Here's another take-off on your recent free pattern.  This one was made with the QAYG method in three horizontal panels.  It's for a new baby born to one of the Farmer's Market purveyors with whom I've become friendly.  (I'm friendly with most of them; this is my fourth baby quilt for someone there.)
S

Wow! I am so impressed that she combined the blocks and assembled the quilt as QAYG. Wonderfully wonky too.

My word Tony is so appealing. I wonder what Chumley thinks of the adoration?

  4. Chum is a handsome chunk of pug. But that Tony he is a real Treat! (Very good looking pug. You both lucked out when you found each other.)

  5. It's actually SO good for Chum to have his 'little' brother to chase him around!!!! Does them both good!

  6. Even though we think we are not ready to have a new one in the fold when one of our pet family leaves us - that new little one softens our hearts quite quickly and the pain we are feeling lessens each day. The antics of my rescue - whom I didn't want because it was just too soon after putting down a very old girl - soon had me laughing and wearing me down with the abundance of energy. So glad you are happy with your new family addition!
