QAWM : Four Patch Layout

I decided to go with the yellow, as that showed the colors of the 4-patches off best. Altho I do plan to incorporate the lavender and turquoise into the final arrangement, somehow. Since I am working with a long lusted after simple traditional block I thought I would add another favored block, the Grannie
Square for my cross center, approximately 16" square. Sample below. To be honest, I had never known the name of his old block til recently, bu I think if fits into my current design mindset.

Since I haven't yet made that block, I just substituted a length of Kaffe Fasset fabric as a place holder.

I have a new work schedule that I like very much. Four of five hours in the morning, lunch with Dave and then a couple of hours of reading/napping in my chair in the warm and sunny studio. I wake up at about 4ish and have a cup of tea and resume my piecing.
It seems very luxurious to me.
