RFMQ Booklet

In honor of now having 800 followers (!) I am again offering my booklet of machine quilting patterns. OK it is old, having made it in 2003, but it still works. Click on the icon in the sidebar and it will take you to a 16 page printable copy of exactly what I taught in my machine quilting workshops.

All you need do is take one page at a time and make the designs with your machine.
What you'll need are a bunch of quilt sandwiches, at least 18" wide by whatever, a free motion darning foot, and feed dogs that can be lowered. Using contrasting thread in your needle and a different colored contrasting thread in your bobbin, and maybe a size 14/90 needle in your machine,  begin by making a mess with your stitches. Then slow down the movement of the fabric and speed up the needle. Soon you will feel a little control happening. Yes!
None of these designs were marked on the fabric and you will get to that ability by the last page of the book. I will say that I did delineate the section I was quilting, with a sliver of soap, my only mark making tool. It disappears when spritzed with water and ironed dry. Relax and just play.
