Guest Worthy

I'm thrilled to say that my friend Rose is coming for a quickie visit, from Chicago, on Sunday...yes only two days away! Needless to say the guestroom needed attention, since it has been the dawg room for months. Not that they sleep there, (O how I wish!) but that's the room that the puppy pads are kept and we still have housebreaking issues. (I tell you everything, don't I?)
I scrubbed everything to within an inch of its life and I am proud to have Rose stay here. She may not actually sleep under that quilt, Nine Big Blocks, as it is summer after all, but it is the only non-holey, non-hairy bed cover I have for the queen size.
Fresh from the garden daisies for her bedside table. Non-stinking variety.
And being an Anglophile too, a little Jeeves for bedside reading.


I have been meaning to hang these quilts somewhere, and today I decided they must go in the guest room. Now there are five quilts on the wall and one on the bed, and numerous ones in the dresser.
A tea bar is part of the service, with bone china from England from which to sip.




Now, if I can keep the dawgs off the bed, it will be just perfect.
