The Rest of the Story

First of all, thank you for all the lovely compliments on this new knit. I appreciate your good taste! ha!
I promised I had more to say about it, and now I will explain. You may have read that what I love about knitting is the puzzle. How will I get what I want and will my plan work? The process is more important than the product  to me and that means that once I solve the equation, I am more or less done with the product.
In this case I wanted to see how this would fit on the body, and was also dealing with a bit of a guilt factor due to the recent yarn purchases that I have made. How could I buy more yarn (Crack!) when I have leftovers just sitting there? These yarns are all top quality mostly merino wools in worsted and dk weights and I did manage to use up lots and lots of bits in the making of this vest. So I am very relieved to have it all work out, fitting well, and using up the yarn. And I really learned how to incorporate the ends as I knit, so that there was no arduous weaving in afterward. Now it will just sit in the closet...what a shame.
It is a winter weight vest, sized for a 38-40 bust and the length is 24" from the shoulder to the hem.
If you are interested in putting this in your closet, it is available for $60 + shipping. Email me. Sold.

I love it, it looks a bit like jewellry of the fun kind. Just grabbed my tape measure and unfortunately I am a 44" tubbies. Such a shame! But I am working on it.

  2. Wow, great buy. I unfortunately can't wear any wool.

  3. Great job! You just need to get an etsy or artfire store, and plunk your finished product out there instead of having them languish in the closet. That's why I sell my tie-dye! I love to do it, and yes... I do wear some, but have 2 closets full that I try to hawk online and at shows... much easier on-line!
