In the Studio
On Friday I will be entertaining another quilter in my studio for a bit of quilt photography, which means I need to clean up the place for presentation. It wasn't all that bad despite the fact that I have neglected entering the room for almost a month. I did manage to find a few minutes to get a backing on my quilt and sew a few stitches, but by that time I was tired and ready to make dinner. I'll go back to it again before Friday.
My loyal pups love to be in the studio with me, running in and out through the open sliding door onto the deck, bringing in 'favorite' rocks from the yard. Chummy looks like he needs the exercize, doncha think? He is garnering new sobriquets, like Jabba the Hut, Ton o'Bacon ( no relation to Kevin) and Rhino Boy.
After chewing that big rock behind them, they poop out on a towel.

Hey, no reason to clean up! No white gloves are coming with the quilts!

Love that piece on your machine. :)
Love Chumley's look and his nicknames. Mr. Monk is looking very similar. But man, the poor guy hardly eats anything. I guess the 'not moving' is the other part of that equation.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your studio.
I always look forward to studio pics. And Chumley...there could so be a caption contest for that photo!!! Somebody looks like he could use a hug! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your quilts and your pugs - thought I'd share a pic of the quilt I have just made for my daughter's pug - see it here: http://annanowicki.blogspot.com/2011/11/am-i-mad.html
ReplyDeleteok... I need my eyes checked!
ReplyDeleteAt first I read...
After chewing that big rock behind them, they pooped out "a" towel. (I didn't read the "on")
Love the nicknames! One of my furballs is rather plump. He's The Big Round Mound of Hound. (There used to be a singer on local Midwestern Hayride in the 1950s called The Big Round Mound of Sound.)
ReplyDeleteI agree the studio looks great! I was glad you told us that was a rock back there!
ReplyDeleteYour pups always put a smile on my face.
I like seeing your latest quilt on the machine. It gave me a sense of the size, which was larger than I imagined.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someday you can get Dave to film you while you stitch. I would love to see you in action!
Love studio pics. You are so organized. How did curtains turn out I must have missed those pics.
ReplyDeleteThis cannot truly work, I believe so.
