Transplanting

I came home from knitting group yesterday to find the front bed empty (except for one) of hostas! This was my plan, and I had started it last week, but thankfully Dave and our man Mike finished the job. I am sure my back and hips are ever so grateful. Next Spring I will be filling this spot with flowers, like I have in my deck planters, which continue to give me great color and no weeds. Pray that they do the same here.

Most of the hosta were planted here at the end of our driveway. This is Dave's idea, and I am really happy with the results. He built that little Stonehenge himself and it continues to evolve.

The other remaining hostas are behind our fallen telephone pole, and along the path of Dave's Memorial Garden/aka The Dawg Run. This is were we attempt to run off their energy, and this summer put up a short fence, which keeps us from worrying about them running into the road.
I am working like a madwoman on my current knit. I just have the sleeves to do and a bit around the neck. The weather is too nice to stay indoors in the studio, so I am going to finish this sweater out on the deck, while I still can. Then I will be back to finish the current quilt. I am so not good at multi-tasking.

The vista from the road toward the house, including little Stonehenge is so soothing... tad jealous of your life in the county... you say you don't "multi task" but you sure knock out ALOT of tasks.

  4. So, I do not really imagine this is likely to have success.
