I am so excited to be inviting y'all to come to Alabama next month for a three night getaway, with everything a quilter would want to have, including wonderful wonderful meals, and no dishwashing! http://www.snowbirdretreat.net/ The Snowbird is next door to the already famous Red Rooster Retreat center and lots of you down south have already been there and LOVED it. Same people are running both spots, but the Snowbird is more intimate, with a maximum of 14 people per session. We already have 3, so if you are interested in attending EMAIL ME asap.
http://www.snowbirdretreat.net/contactus.asp to register directly. We are called the Fibermaniacs.
What will we be doing? Anything you want. Just bring your machine, fabric and wine and we are off to the races. Sewing in jammies is the attitude, fooling around is the goal. There might/could be demos and explanations of techniques in a very informal way (meaning no work for the teacher, ha!) so let's have a blast together!
Snowbird Retreat
Opened in May, 2009, the Snowbird Retreat is designed to provide a relaxing environment for your small group outing, business retreat or family getaway. Our home, overlooking Smith Lake, has over 4,000 square feet of living and meeting space and offers a variety of activities to ensure enjoyment for all of our guests. We invite your small group, of 14 people or less, to stay at our home for your next event. We pride ourselves in hosting focus groups geared toward quilting, scrapbooking and other crafting types. We also encourage church groups, businesses and families to use our overnight facilities for meetings and get-togethers.
Please join us during your stay in the Cullman, AL area. Spend a night, a weekend or a whole week with us in a comfortable, rural, lakeside setting at the Snowbird Retreat. We always look forward to meeting new friends and welcoming guests into our home.
