The Treehouse Series

This group of small quilts seems to have caught on at just the right moment. I made them back in September 2009, and they have been waiting in the wings all this time. Now they are in the spotlight in Art Quilting Studio magazine due to come out in June.  I saw the two page spread and the photography is wonderful, with very, very close-up details.
And if that isn't enough,  a dear internet friend, who I have referred to as my soul mate, because we both chose the same knitting patterns ( That's all it takes folks!) is decorating her kitchen and has decided to have not one or two, but the whole set for her long empty wall. How fabulous is that? I am thrilled, and so happy to know they will be going to such a fabu artist.
I am dancing around the room as we speak. Yay!!
It kinda makes me want to drop the spade and trowel and get back into the studio.

  6. All I can say is WOW!!! To all the good news! But stay in the garden a little longer... plenty of time to get back to the quilting after the plants are in!

  10. Those will look fabulous on a long wall and getting them in a mag? Top stuff :-)
I have to decorate my walls here. DH wants me to make quilts for them but he has to figure out how to hang them. The walls are concrete and it's a rental, so it is going to be tricky!
    The deck looks lovely.

I think it grand that the tree houses will stay together. They are a happy group. Lucky friend and lucky you.

I agree to stay in the garden a bit longer.... soon you will be tired of the HOT and THEN come in.

We are so short of rain that "the garden" is not going to last until the third week in June, which is the ususal time for allllll moisture to be gone... find myself fussing at the people who smoke in their car and toss the ashes and butts out the window... hey if you want to smoke...FINE.... but no FIRE or sparks please... hummm where did that FIT come from?
