Learning to be Patient

Waiting for the wool to dry...
so I can sew the shoulders and add the collar...
I love wool. It is so alive and so springy, boing-boing.

So in the meantime I made this neckwarmer from wool I bought in New Zealand. Talk about patiently waiting! How many years ago was that? Pre-blog I think. Isn't it cute? It's like a mini-poncho and it is assembled like one, but it is only 13" from point to shoulder, same as on the back side. I dug out these skeins because they are such autumnal colors, and match the trees in the yard.
100% New Zealand wool, hand painted. $12 plus shipping. Email me.

Dog learns new trick.
Jumping.
On everything.
He runs from chair to couch to bench and back. Jumping and barking for applause. He has show biz in his blood.
In case you missed the last episode, I made a big mistake on the dates for his neutering and had Dave take him in 8 days early. He still has the appt. on the 18th.

  1. I love the work you are doing and your pug is so cute - he is just like my daughters - they have been living with me for a few weeks and move out today. I will miss Rocky - well not really - I can hve the shelves repaired and remove all the covers for the chairs and will be able to get on with some art work without the chap on my lap !!

Cruel and unusual punishment - Poor Chumley. He worries for days, finally gets his courage up and goes to the doctor, and wham! he has to wait 8 more days! :) We're pulling for ya, Chumley!

  5. Your neck-warmer looks like it would be really easy to make! Is it two rectangles stitched together? And the yarn is truly yummy! Someday maybe I'll try hand-dyeing yarn... not this year!
And Chumley truly is a poser! Could be in the movies, but then you'd have to be a stage-mom... too much work! ;->
