I am about to go to the new, yet to be opened yarn shop in Signal Mountain. I am so excited.
I will be doing stuff there, like knitting samples and teaching a few classes (MAYBE) and hanging out. I will take pictures and blog it this afternoon. My friend Judy from Knitting Group will be working there and Diana, the owner, is so great and it feels like I will have a wonderful place to hang out. It has free Wi-Fi. How perfect is that? Only about 45 minutes up a winding mountain road from my house. Woowoo!
And now a few words from the Secret Beefeaters Society Newsletter. This juicy beauty is the Six Dollar ThickBurger from Hardee's. It really only costs $3.99. I had my first one yesterday and I became an instant convert. O dear...It was so good and weighed a ton. Big slices of tomato, red onion, real lettuce, not the chopped up kind, and a slab of broiled Angus Beef. This is my new guilty pleasure.
Back to our regular blog....
Last year our neighbor-to-be chopped down a perfectly good forest and ruined our view from the east. Or so I thought. But now his property is starting to take shape and soon he will build his first building, a garage/polebarn, as he is an under 30 single man. It will have an upstairs bedroom with a bathroom and will be his temporary home until the real one gets built. His parents live across the road from us.
What happened to all those trees? For most of last year the downed trees were lying in the dirt, and nothing changed. It rained way too much to get the bulldozers into the lot, but since it has been hot and dry, they took advantage and in just two days it was all cleared and leveled. What a huge difference from the mess it once was. Now I feel a lot better when I drive past and we have something new to watch happen.
Wonderful news about "Three Black Sheep." Love the name too. Looking forward to you post about it all. It should be fun watching the progress on the new building. I hope it will be smashing! Have a great time Melody!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI was hoping you were going to say he had dried the felled trees and was now going to use them to build his house. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteMight want to lay off the thickburgers if you want to stick around for the great grandchilden. Think chicken.
ReplyDeleteNow that is a burger! Everyone deserves a treat from time to time.
ReplyDeleteGreat news about the shop. Sounds like you will have lots to do there. They are lucky to have you nearby.
You are making me want learn to knit, while eating a Hardee's thickburger.
ReplyDeleteI love hamburgers but I love the ones I cook best of all. These days I eat the patty without the bun for fewer calories. Too bad your neighbor clear cut the woods. He could have a left a few here and there in the clearing.
ReplyDeleteWe are in the middle of building our pole barn. Tonight they delivered the roofing material. You will love watching how it goes up so quickly. Plus, all the Doug Firs will keep us warm for years now that they're split and stacked.
ReplyDeleteHi there, after reading this amazing article i am too cheerful to share my knowledge here with colleagues.
