The Frog Bridge

IMG_2402

A few weeks ago I mentioned finding two frogs in the mini pond, who were struggling to get out. I helped them with the use of the fishnet thingy I have and thought they learned a good lesson and would never return.

But their little brains didn’t learn and they showed up again and again.

A reader suggested I build a bridge so they could climb out easily.

OK here it is, a concrete block with flat rocks sitting on it and reaching out to the edge. I set it up and then went back to work in the garden. An hour or so later I saw a frog basking in the sun on that bridge. Dee-lightful!

He immediately jumped off and hid under the bridge and although I waited a long time in hopes he would come out of hiding, it was for naught. Here is his foot, the only part visible to me.

While I waited, two lovely fishes swam into focus, and that satisfied me.

Our rhododendrons are in full bloom, which is way early this year. Such a display! I feel like a queen when I see them.

  3. Wow! Those are rhododendrons fit for a queen! Beautiful!

Wonder why your peonies aren't open? Only two and a half of mine are open. The other two bushes are not.. must be the specific type.

For some reason the pictures are in front of the text on this posting. Is it that way on your computer too? Great pix, but I miss the text! Mary
