Sorbet

Hand dyed cottons, machine pieced and machine quilted. 23x40" $250

I have been looking at the Fresh Modern Quilts on Flickr and trying to find a way to make a quilt that combines both my colors, and that FRESHNESS. I decided to use the lightest values in my stash in conjunction with their more saturated sisters. The other consideration was to make a piece that was simpler and less repetitive...not in blocks.

And now for a gratuitous fish picture...They are all out enjoying the warm and sunny day.

Will your sister Brooke be putting her quilt up for sale?

  5. I, too, like the simpler quilts on Flickr. Definitely less is more! This quilt is close to that and I'm sure it must be hard to get your brain to "simplify" but I think you're getting there.

  9. The quilt almost looks like the fish swimming! Thought about doing a pond with the gold fish in it?
I was without internet service for a week! REally missed checking on what you were doing! Lighting is nasty stuff....
