Glad You Dropped By...
It's the Blog's 5th Anniversary and I am so glad to have your company. Thanks for your continued support and also for your perseverance and patience, as you wait for your favorite subject to reemerge.Having this place to spew, show and tell, and sometimes whine, and sometimes celebrate...has saved what little sanity I have. And your comments mean so much to me.
Recently I have received some 'love emails' from readers thanking me for the blog, but no, it is I who must thank you, for returning and reading and encouraging me.
Now that I have retired, the blog is my 'boss' and it gives me a reason to keep on keepin' on, so I'll have something to show for my lazyass self-indulgent time-wastin' procrastinating-not-ever-finishing-the-laundry life.
I am considering writing a book on how to lose weight without getting out of your easy chair. It has something to do with being so occupied with something you love that you forget to eat.
As if.
Lovestamundo to you all and thanks for dropping by.
Melody
Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCongretulation, 5 years is a nice age. Greetings from an active quilter and knitter from the Netherlands.
Thank YOU, Mel! I read your blog faithfully, and I so admire your many, many skills and incredible talents! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteYou have become a regular place to visit, ooh & aah, giggle and sometimes laugh out loud! Congrats on sticking to the blog for 5 whole years! I'm only at 2+, and I'm not nearly as regular as you about posting, but I do love to show off and appreciate comments as well, so I know where you're coming from. May you blog as long as it gives you pleasure, but don't forget to leave a forwarding address if you decide to stop!

ITs good to share the love :)
ReplyDeleteYour passion for all you do ,has become a motivator for me- not to replicate anything you are doing- but just to channel the love and wonder and exploring that you have for your hobbies- and what a blessing to so freely share it.
Thanks and may your journey continue to bless you and those you reach out to- through your blog-
Its my cup of coffee in the morning - or my warm glass of milk
at night
Love the pictures you share...too.
Thanks a bazillion from another city girl gone country.

When I sign on to my computer in the morning, I check "Doonesbury," and then I check you. You have been an inspiration and a goad to keep on being creative. Thank you, also, for the yummy T-Day recipe. Hubby and I will be alone for the day, and we both thought that the "Turkey Lasagna" would fit our bill just fine.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly start my day without you :) Thanks for all your inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog as if I were receiving a daily postcard from an old friend. It's at times inspirational, funny, crazy, and motivating. And who keeps up with the laundry and dusting anyway? Certainly not us artistic types - LOL!! Here's to many more years of your blog, and Happy Thanksgiving to you and Dave!
ReplyDeleteLeslie :-)
Happy anniversary! I started reading your blog because of the quilts but sent it to a girlfriend last year because of the gardening and to another this year because of the knitting! And I enjoy all of those posts too! I refer back to the "Helpful Stuff" often and look forward to every post.

....and my scarf/neckwarmer is coming right along. I'm thinking I may "felt" it when it's finished since I'm just using leftover balls of Malabrigo and the colors might look better blended by the felting! It's a fun project I wouldn't have started without you!
Happy blog anniversary! I have enjoyed reading for several years, and even more so after meeting you. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHappy 5th! I start my day with your blog. Thanks for all the inspiration-from color to bread baking!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and thank you for sharing the eye candy on an almost daily basis. I am always inspired to do anything with my fabric when I visit here. I do not know how to knit but I sure wish I did!

Happy Anniversary and keep it up. Just think of all the shrinks that have gone out of business because you make people so happy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Melody and thank you for your continued dose of inspiration! I enjoy your blog and will remain a faithful follower!
ReplyDeleteHi Melody
ReplyDeletecongratulations! I enjoy looking at your blog for inspiration even though I'm "just" a quilter.
Did you notice Mr. Praying Mantis was looking right at you while you took his picture?

Wow 5 year!. Congratulations. I love reading your blog too and it is one of the first ones I click on every morning to see what you're up to. I love that the blog is so varied and that you share so many aspects of your life in such a generous and open way. Here's to the next 5! Oh and Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours as well!
ReplyDeleteLuv, J
Congratulations on 5 years of blogging! It takes a huge amount of discipline to blog nearly every day and a lot of work to take photos, write something and get it together! Not to mention the effort involved in your glorious projects, tutorials, step by step experiments and the sometimes hilarious commentary. Thank you for the inspiration and the encouragement by your shining example. Remember: If you can't be a good example, you can always be a terrible warning.
ReplyDeleteLove to you and Dave, and Happy Thanksgiving!
Congrats Melody on your 5th year blog anniversary! May you continue to thrive both creatively and in your personal life.
ReplyDeleteAll best wishes,
Léonie
Congratulations on your 5 year anniversary! AND Thank you for sharing your world. You are my dose of color and humor everyday and I so thankful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteMelody, happy anniversary and happy Thanksgiving, you are a ray of sunshine in my days. Hope you will continue to blog for many more years to come.
ReplyDeleteGosh, five years - just realised there are still some "back issues" I haven't read yet, hurray! Congratulations and thank you for so much entertainment and inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed that you do so much and STILL have time to write a blog - are there maybe more hours in a day in Tennessee?
Congratulations on five years and thank you for making every day better and more inspirational! I started reading your blog while I was having chemo and your optimism was very motivating! It still is....:) HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
ReplyDeleteCould you ever imagine so many people turning on their computers every day and hoping there's a new posting from you? Because you make our lives more colorful, you inspire us (whether quilting, knitting, gardening, cooking...), you make us laugh (Exhibit A: "Simon Cowl"!). And we're hoping for a mention of Dave!
ReplyDeleteYes, blogs are good!
Well, seems like we all feel about the same in regards to your blog. A good interval during our days that fills our need for a friendly, inspiring, motivating chat with a creative, talented gal.
ReplyDeleteKeep on bloggin'.
You are the best- you always put a smile on my face and occasionally a laugh out loud. I have this book that I would like to gift you. Do you happen to have- Folk Socks by Nancy Bush. I bought it when a friend of mine had talked me into how easy it is to sew socks, I am still homemade sockless. It is brand new and thought of you when I came across it.

Thank you, Mel, for continually inspiring and sharing, for coloring the day with yarn, fabric, paint or plants. And Happy Thanksgiving to you, Dave and Popeye.
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving Melody! And thanks for such beautiful blogs. I always know where to go for a good healthy shot of inspiration.
ReplyDeleteAnd I can't wait for that easy chair weight loss book!
I am so thankful for your blog -I learn so much from you - you are so generous with everything - sharing so much of yourself. Without sounding like a stalker, I must say that the first thing I do every morning is grab a cup of tea and then see what Melody is doing.
ReplyDeleteThank you- Nancy
