This is how the garden looked in April when it was first planted. The lilies on the left were only about a foot tall, and didn’t encroach on the little garden.
The gnome came when Rose visited and he looks so apropos standing guard.
But look at him now! Help me, Mrs. Mel! He is being swamped with new growth. Almost swallowed up by that creeper.
The aerial view. The stone walk is completely covered. And the lilies provide lots of shade over it all.
My sickly green bean plants are starting to have sprout beans! I have learned that I planted the seed way to soon and will have a second chance to plant a second crop after these are done.
We have been blessed with plenty of rain this year and it is making everything look lush.
Wow! Look at those red lilies! And your white ones! Who's going to save the Gnome?
ReplyDeleteI love the way the lilies change from yellow buds to white blossoms. We've had a lot of rain this year, too. The trees around us are growing like mad.
ReplyDeleteWhat is that 'creeper' plant right in front of the chalet? I'm trying to find it but don't have the proper name. Everything looks great btw.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Ellen in Charlotte

What a cute little garden. Mr. Gnome might end up on the roof if that creeper keeps growing like that.
