I have learned to take my camera with me when I walk around the yard. Sometimes I have to just sit quietly until pond denizens surface. The big goldfish was lazily floating next to the frog on his branch when Two-Tone swam into the picture. He is less and less black and more orange, leaving me to think he is really a goldfish and not a pond fish. I don’t know when he was hatched or whatever it is called, but he appeared this Spring and was already pretty large. There is a lot I don’t know about fish.
This is a Biokovo Geranium blossom with a teeny tiny grasshopper on its leaf. I didn’t even see him until I downloaded the images.
Same thing with this teeny spider on the Mock Orange. Maybe it’s my mature eyesight, but I don’t see them when I shoot the picture. I am just lucky to see them now. The last few days of sun brings everyone out for their shot of Vitamin D.
I was hoping to get some of that D just by looking at these photos. I sure could use some. I love the little extra characters that show up when you "develop" the photos. Loving that sunshine!
ReplyDeleteI see the geranium in the leaves, but the flower itself is quite different. Neat!
What a treat to have two fish and that amazing frog in the picture. I bet his picture would look great cropped.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I love the river series.
How lovely to have nature right outside the door. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteDon't ya just love the "country"??? Yesterday while DH and I were having lunch on our enclosed patio we saw 2 doe running across our back field. We think they got chased out because it is turkey season here. I wouldn't want to live in the "city" ever again!
ReplyDeleteCould you sent some of the vitamin D here????
the itsy bitsy spider..la la la...
ReplyDeleteOve your hood.
I love that when you find surprises once you download your pictures. Unless it is bad quilting on a quilt I am working on.
ReplyDeleteLove your pictures! Thanks for sharing and helping me rmember that I need to start taking my camera with me. Paula in Idaho
ReplyDeleteI swore I saw a fish that looked alot like a bass or perch in one of your pictures a while back. It was pretty big. Who knows. Those channel cats are great fish, too. Tasty!! They are blue and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos - each morning I try to check your blog to get inspiration. Thanks for that!!
