I watch those tv commercials with that four year old who sends a picture of her fish Dorothy to her family and am just entranced. So I decided I had to look into that program from Windows.
While I was there I noticed they have a blogger program called Live Writer. I decided to try it out. And so here we are in the midst of it, blogging in a different font. On the sidebar of my compose box I find a list of things I can possibly insert. Hyperlinks, Pictures, Photo Albums, Tables, Maps, tags and videos. Just click, search for the thing I want to upload and zap! Here’s my pictures.
I can round the corners or have a drop shadow added or a have it look like it’s printed on photo paper, etc. What fun!
I think this is gonna going to be my new blogging program. It stays right on my regular site, with same address and everything. What do you think?
Hi Melody,
ReplyDeleteIt's a nice clean look. I like it, too.
It looks pretty good.. although the layout of photos looks kind of random. I wonder if it works with wordpress.
ReplyDeleteI love it! I'm going to check it out for my blog today -- you use Blogger, right? It's good to know that it interfaces with Blogger so easily. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I've been using it for over a year. And Cindra, yes it does work with Wordpress. I hadn't realised you could change the font though... duh...
ReplyDeleteThe only thing is that I've found it's takes a few goes uploading if there are lots of pictures as there invariably are on my blog! But that might be down to my webhost rather than Livewriter.
I just checked -- here's the lowdown on Windows Live Writer: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_Writer
ReplyDeleteWorks with Blogger, Wordpress, Typepad, LiveJournal and Movable Type (and others).
Looks good and fun. I'm gonna give it a whirl too. Soonish.
ReplyDeleteThe font is nice and big, but the photos are significantly smaller than your old programme, and I l-o-v-e looking at your photos!
ReplyDeleteGlad we don't have the critters you do - New Zealand's scariest monster is the weta, and it looks scary but is harmless! Have you got rid of your bugs yet?
LOL! I'm laughing because I always thought the little girl's fish was named "Dorky." Tee hee.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link. I'm going to try it as well. I've never been particularly fond of Blogger's interface - especially with picture placement (always at the top of the post, UGH!).
ALoha, Dianna
I think..THANK YOU! I just tried it out..very kewl! will be fun to be able to have different fonts so readily......
