The Malm Chest**********************************The INGO table
When we went to IKEA I had a list of what I wanted to buy. I needed two bedside tables and I thought, why not have some storage in them too? So I picked out this perfect solution, the Malm 3 drawer chest. But it was too big and since I felt I really needed a desk more, I opted for the INGO table. Wha? I know this does not follow. Well it seems I don't know what I want, even when I think it through.
I knew I could make better use of a table since it could work as a desk and a nightstand. When we unwrapped the boxes yesterday we were surprised to find that we had picked up TWO tables. They were taped together on the shelf, and after checking our receipt I know we only paid for one. Which means I will be paying for the second one when I return to IKEA soon.
They were pine so we painted them yesterday with the same paint that everything is getting in the living room
Now I have a place to put the printer and pay the bills or print out mailing labels or write thank you notes. I already had this drawer system up in the studio which was not being used to its best effect. We brought it down and tucked it next to my chair. The little round white table was reduced in the destroyed for sale area of the store. I am pretty darn happy with the arrangement.

Are you really serious about having that printer on your night table?
ReplyDeleteMel, Please tell me about the painted chair next to your new table. Did you paint it? It's absolutely beautiful. Thanks
