A Sweet Garden Surprise
I was sure these cyclamen were dead. Not a sign of them after I planted them in the Spring. I knew they were autumn bloomers, but duh, forgot. Then today it was so warm and balmy, I had to take a walk around the yard. These were so tiny, only about 3" at the most, and such a nice surprise.
Our Sweet Autumn Clematis has more flowers on it this year and thankfully some seed pods have formed. I will collect those and soon we will have vines all over the place. Since we grew this plant at our last house we know how hardy and prolific this vine is, if planted in the sun and where it can get some rain. It will even grow in the gravel of a driveway.
Speaking of driveways...ours is now resurfaced in leaves! Where do they all go in the Spring?
Into the compost pile.
Our crazy nasturtiums are still blooming, even though I pulled them out of the garden about three weeks ago. I tossed them onto the compost and they continue to bloom. I am not complaining. I love an enthusiastic plant.
I am so envious! We have had snow since the first week of October (I kid you not). And to see flowers in November??? I am so envious!
