September Duet

September Duet

The leaves have really not started changing en mass here yet, but a few are cascading lazily and I found several colorful examples on my last walk. Sure, they are a tad holey, but still interesting enough to paint. I was particularly interested in painting the subtlety of the lighting.
This painting will benefit from a mat and frame, since it is on unstretched canvas. There is ample canvas that can be hidden behind the mat opening. I would offer it framed, but my last shopping trip to Target got really out of hand.
