Day-O

Day-O

Alternate title: Banana Boat

I'm having a hard time keeping the shine from the wet paint from changing the color.

One of these is the right color...
At 7am yesterday, Dave announced he was going to town to get paint for the porch, and more dirt, of course. I jumped at the chance to go along and found myself buying more garden plants to go with his newly built planter.
Liriope and euonymous. We are trying to disguise the air conditioner, to no avail. I also have zinnias ready to go into this box.

While we waited at the check out my eyes spied the banana display and I quickly added a bunch to our cart. That took care of my subject matter for the day's session.

The painting reminds me of a baseball mitt and ball. Oh, and if possible plant something which will cast a shadow on the heat pump. Direct sun on a heat pump really drives down its efficiency.

  5. I really, really like these last two paintings! The colors are so rich and vibrant. Beautiful and yummy all at the same time! :-) I can picture a gallery showing of your paintings and quilts ... colors bursting forth from the stark white walls. Lovely.

  9. Hmmmmm. I am surprised there isn't a bite taken out of that strawberry. Once again, a winner! I love how the painting wraps around.
