Easter Party

Dancing heads of daffodils, bouncing buds of blueberries, perfectly pink peach blossoms.

Blue flowerettes of Vinca are everywhere on the hills. I will not be buying groundcover this year.
I put the garden to bed with thoughts of adding more plants to the party today, and then woke up to see SNOW!

o NO! I neglected to watch the weather forecast. I could have brought in my seedlings and covered the rest. 28 degrees at first light. What will happen to my nasturtiums, which I just put out yesterday, in a 12-pack. Oy.

Spring can really hang you up the most.

I have that kind of Vinca and it really takes over if you don't keep pulling out batches of it. It is great in a place where you don't want to grow anything else.

It's March.

Melody - I live in Charlotte NC. Believe it or not, we're advised that frost can occur as late at April 26.

Look at it this way - whatever survives are some tough customers.
It snowed for a few minutes here in
the Metro ATL yesterday. I love to get a jump on gardening myself but in this La Nina year I think we have to prepare for losses on many gardening fronts.
