A Soupçon of Snow
.
Just enough to take a postcard shot.

I had to feed the birds, so I grabbed my camera, as well as my boots. We have about an inch, but there are some drifts because of the strong winds. I am happy to be staying indoors, until this melts.
On another note...while washing the dishes with Dave I noticed how jagged my knife blades have become. Could he remedy the situation? Of course!

He has wonderful knife skills, after a lifetime as a butcher. These are slices of a grape, so thin you can read the newspaper through one.
Sharp knives are so much easier to use than dull ones. Here he holds an accordian slided grape.
It takes so little to amuse me.
P.S. I am in a new book. No color pictures of my work, though.

  1. Hope your flowers were well covered... I'm sure you have little green things peeking up.
    The slicing is impressive!

  2. I can honestly say I miss those great sharp knives!! My ex has been a meat cutter (politically correct butcher) for about 40 years. He still cuts a mean slice of meat!!

  3. Congrats on the new book entry! I finally met Meg today, and she is a treat.Just a delightful person. So many stories! And the book is a compendium; It weighs 2.1 lbs! An engrossing read, like an anthropologist visited and wrote down everything, but even more amazing than any other quilting book; it is jam packed with tons of information. Wow! But it is weird to see your quilts in B&W, although they are still very cool. Congrats again..You rock!
