Signs of Spring

The bulbs we planted in October are up about three inches and the daffodils are even higher.

WE didn't plant these, and it's so fun to discover what awaits us in the next few weeks.

Iris and day lilies...

and buds on the climbing rose!

I am happy to say that the terrible tornadoes in western Tennessee didn't come our way. We are in the higher elevations and mostly the storm stayed in the lower parts of the state.

We got one downed tree, which is a weekly event. This one will have to be sawed into logs and moved. Dave needs a chain saw.

I'm still playing house, moving artwork around on my walls. I found this painting in the garage, where lots of artwork is hanging out. It happens to be pink and lime green. How divine!

And I know you will relate to this:

Bulbs are not all that smart. Ours here in IN have shown their little noses waayyy too early, and got frosted for their enthusiasm. They'll be fine, just a bit brown around the edges. Silly bulbs.

SO fabulous hot pink and lime green art! That's the only point of white walls, imo: so you can put lots of bright-coloured art on them.

Thanks for the pie chart laugh. The follow up, of course, is after you've torn the place apart to no avail, you then find the 'thing' right in front of your nose! Around here, we also experience something we call 'destinesia': occurs when you walk into another room and forget why you went there. :)

So now with all that sprouting, someone will have to be 'deployed' outside to scare of the deers. OR, you could get a nice frisky dog, that would be a nice occupation for a dog.

  3. You have an open invitation to come hang out with me and take your quilts to show at my guild. They would love it.

  4. Your life chart cracked me up. I spent even more of my 'pie chart' looking for stuff. Drives me bonkers!

  5. Love your pictures.

My pie chart would have sleep and surfing broken into about 3-4 parts. That's how I spend my nights. In my younger days 8-9 hours was the norm. In my older days, 5-6 hours spread out over 8-9 is the norm.

  7. How'd you know enough about me to draw my life chart??? LOL!

My only consolation is that one of my doggies hides things periodically, so I can blame it all on them!
