Isn't this civilized?

I am sitting in the Chattanooga airport (only 5 gates) and they have free internet access. Why can't huge airports like O'Hare offer this for free?
The trip to the airport was ultra scenic and practically traffic free. It took less than 5 minutes to check in and reach my gate, including going through a very polite security screen. How civilized. If all travel was this enjoyable, I might not have retired as soon.

The randomness of free wifi mystifies me. You can stay in a dinky motel and have it then you go to the Grand Hyatt and you have to pay. The Portland Airport has free wifi so if I have to wait, I can catch up on blogs, etc.

Love seeing your new work that you posted.

  2. That's because they are so grateful you're there! It used to be a big airport (I lived within 3 miles of it) but Delta left and it kinda got dinky.

  4. I dream of a world where internet access is free everywhere. Like radios, you only pay for the electricity / batteries.
