Let's Go Shopping

I have completely given up the cowhide rug idea, you will be glad to know, after I found these wild and crazy rugs online at Target of all places. And would you believe they are from the Mary Kate and Ashley collection?

Of course quilts come to mind, but the colors here are so wonderful that I know I would love to have any of these designs under my feet. And then make a matching quilt for my bed. Woowoo!
This one would work in my living room. I know Dave will say we have to wait until the demise of Popeye, who can only upchuck on carpeting, not bare floor. He has standards.
My sister and I are currently entranced with concentric circles, and she has already started on her quilt, while I am merely in the paused mode, fabric packed and studio empty. Excrutiating.
I love this one too. O geesh, I love them all.
The theme is matching my chair. I learned this from HGTV, find a theme and stick with it. Pretty hot colors, no? And then paint the walls and hang the artwork, and I am moved in...
On another note: I am retiring but will do just one workshop a year to keep my fingers in. For 2008 it will be Art Quilt Tahoe. I just got the invitation today. Woowoo!

Love the circles...never met a circle I did not love.....the colors are great and they are you. You are having such a fun time shopping and decorating. It will all look "mahvelous" when you finish...did I say finish? It is never quite finished is it.

What great rug, they seem to suit your personality so much more. I wished Target shipped to the UK, I love some of their storage ideas.

  6. I want, no, I NEED the one with the squares. I wonder if anyone has them in England?
Funny how cats will only do nasty things when they have a soft landing.

Retiring is the art of not being flattered into saying yes.

I love all of those rugs. You can't just do 1 workshop per year, whatever will you do in those backwaters the rest of the year?

We have 2 cats so I can empathize with Dave's decision....however, buy Spot Shot! Great stuff! We have mostly tile floors but the bedrooms have carpet, so we couldn't live without it. WalMart has it and probably Piggly. Love the rugs, too. Our Target just became a Super Target (or whatever) and they have a lot of 60's home decor. Ah....nostalgia!!

These are fabulous. So quilty and the colors are definitely you. I might have to go back to AQT - I had given up on it after this past year.
