Behind the Scenes at the Quilt Show

The Brandy-New Schaumburg IL Renaissance Hotel is where the quilt teachers are staying, and the rooms are just fabulous. Very State of the Art!. I am taking these shots in Marjan Kluepfel's room on the 6th floor. The bathroom mirror has a built in TV screen which goes on when you enter the room. As if we don't spend enough time in the bathroom already, the tv entices us for a longer stay.

Plus it provides info like this. And which groups are convening that day at attached convention center. This is too fun! Imagine what it costs to have these in every room? The wave of the future.

The view from Marjan's room. You may be able to see IKEA from here. And behind those buildings is the Woodfield Shopping Center. A girl could spend a month here and not see it all.

I am writing again from Panera, and this time I am just down the street from where I will be teaching today. Earlier this morning I was sitting in another restaurant parking lot at the end of my street downloading my email. I was not alone. A gal in an SUV was parked there before I arrived and I saw her laptop lit up on her lap.
Are we ever going to be back online at home? I called my geeky brother Cary for help this morning and left a message, but who knows where he is and when he will return.
At least I have Panera. Posted by Picasa
