Deborah's family wanted to see a picture of her working, so here it is. She is a born fuser.

So is our Pat, who made her own version of the Sunflowers.

Isn't this kool? I think so.

What we are doing in this two-day class is the Tulip Party Quilt. The results of day one are coming along swimmingly.


Each person gets three Special Edition Cottons of their own choice in the kit, plus the pattern. My teaching is practically unnecessary to make this if you can fuse, cut and trace. So I dinked around and made a new slide presentation while they worked and we had a second lecture after lunch. It may be that if I don't show up at all, people would do just as well.

Ignore this last statement if you are a guild program chair... oops.

I have the participants trace the whole pattern on the release paper of the Wonder-Under (the fusible is already gone...fused onto the fabric) and then they use another piece of release paper as the foundation, where they can place the pieces cut from the traced layer. Confused... Oh good, then this looks harder than it actually is. This person took my advice and put G on each pattern piece. The G goes on the glue side of the fabric. It also stands for Good Side.


Donna found that insomnia can be a benefit, getting this far instead of sleeping.

Just for an underwear update: My clothing suitcase arrived at 10:30 Friday night (Thank you Hazel for picking it up and delivering to my hotel) and I was ecstatic. Saturday was a perfectly lovely day and I am pretending I did everything right on this trip.
