Studio 60
At last something worth watching!

I am so over the moon that this show has begun, and I am not alone. I love Aaron Sorkin and his two previous shows, Sports Night and of course West Wing. Now I am instantly hooked on Studio 60 and its rapid fire diaglog, complex characters and arresting issues. Something to engage the brain.
This may be the one night where I swear off my glass of wine, in order to remain conscious long enough to follow the plot. And O what plots there will be! Woowoo! If you missed the premiere it can be watched online here.

On the sitcom front, I also managed to catch The Class on CBS. Since Jim Burrows is the creator I had high expectations and again, woowoo! I was sated! Several laff out loud moments, interesting characters and at the end, Dave said, 'it's over already? That was fast' always a good sign.

Someone mentioned there was also Monday Night Football. So?

Sigh....we have been without TV since the satellite dish got hit last Wednesday. The repair guy comes tomorrow....While missing TV most of the time wouldn't matter, I DID want to see both of these....Oh well, with the
migraine I had last night I couldn't have enjoyed it anyway....

  2. Here in my MILs house we don't have cable, so no MNF for a while. I missed the class, but couldn't wait for Studio 60 to begin.

I LOVED Judd Hirsch's speech!! An instant classic. As true as Paddy Cheyevsky's original rants.

I'm thrilled that the main characters are flawed. The pacing was great, and the way they kind of filled in the roles of each person was good. Glad it't Tivoed at home.

Must go check and see where that opening speech is published online. Can we nominate Sorkin for president??

  3. My husband and I watched it and were surprised at how fast the hour went by. We liked it. We didn't get into The West Wing, but remember watching the pilot episode when it premiered and thought 60 opened in a similar way. It was very good.

  4. It was terrific! I just got finished email blasting two critics who felt otherwise warning them that they've missed the boat and should start looking for work in another field.

  5. I watched The Class - we had to tape it so we could watch Prison Break, and you are right it was a great show. I didn't want it to end.
