A New Day

A BIG Thank You to all the nice folks that showed up to help me unload my stuff. I got to see old friends and made lots of new ones, and have a satisfied feeling of having spread the wealth. There are a few things that I will take to Goodwill and a few more that will greet the Trashman.

During the day I let go of the hope that I would ever use this stuff and grabbed onto the concept of making the things I kept more accessible and usable. I made decisions. Decisions.

I can be a dabbler or I can focus.

I can let life happen to me or I can take charge of my life.

Enough of the drama queen talk. I have plenty of the things that I need to continue to be creative. I will limit myself to quilting, painting and knitting. I will still make clothes for myself, but will purchase the fabric for the specific pattern and toss out the leftover scraps. Who needs to store corduroy leftovers?

I never did organize the yarn.

  2. This is so excellent. I have long been a believer in picking one thing you LOVE! (I swear I will never let anyone talk me into scrapbooking!)

and I almost fell off my chair with laughter. But Ms Mel. we have a yarn co-op going on over at Yahoo for some Dale of Norway yarns, interested? LOL.

Chucking it is hard for me, especially when it is my sewing stuff, you might even find some corduroy leftovers somewhere here too!

Clearing clutter is supposed to change the energy flow and allow space for new things to enter your life, not just new stuff but new people, ideas, etc. Please let us know if this is true.

  7. Yeah, Melody! I know that my output has not been what it could be because I've been a dabbler of late. I can't wait to get my space in order too.

  8. It seems like a lot of people have had the cleaning / organizing bug lately. You've progressed much better on yours than I have, unfortunately for me. I think you hit the nail right on the head. Decisions. Decisions are hard, but necessary.
