Let's Get Back To Work!!!

Lines in the concrete at an intersection.
Enough of this folderol!
I am getting cranky because I have not made ANYTHING ( not counting meals, and bargain purchases) in over a week. I have half finished laundry, half finished dyeing, half finished sewing, and a half finished painting. Gaarruuummmmpphhh! (big roar).
My guest sister and guest niece are here for the month and I declared the end to shopping-on-a -daily -basis yesterday. I have seen all my girlfriends several times, done the zoo, fireworks, library, the Goodwill store (four times!!!) and endless trips to the grocery. Now we simply must get some work done.
Life is work. It is good to have accomplished something.
First we clean up the kitchens. Then we make a list of what we need to do. Mine is all work, Brooke's is somewhat less than work, more like shopping. Hmm.
Glory's is all about shopping.
Dave is gone. Out shopping.
When did I lose control?
My List:
Finish laundry
Reprint patterns and send out order
Dye Fabric for workshop kits etc.
Make quilt samples for workshop with Brooke
Make new quilt from the redesigned Stacks original
Do new lecture for workshop
Finish or abandon Beachwalk painting or start a totally new one…
Finish shorts and sew up nightdresses
Quilt Ellipses!!
Ride or skate daily.
Get PT fixed.

  1. Oh, I hear you... having folks around all the time is fun but SO distracting, which leads to non-productivity, which leads to crankiness. Welcome to my summer! Give yourself some alone time in your studio and I'll bet you feel much better. (And your silver toenails look stunning!)

  3. I've been a lurker of your blog for longer than I'd like to admit. So I won't! My daughters (twins...14 on Sunday) have asked me over and over..."Have you commented on Fibermania?" They tune into your blog too! So finally...I'm coming out of the closet...or the woodwork?

Please do not abandon Beachwalk! I've loved it from its beginning...but your softening of the lines has made it even more intriguing! Maybe you just need to put it into hiding for awhile.

Your fritatta looks (probably *looked* by now) scrumptious!
