Thank you for all your wonderful, insightful, time consuming and deeply considered comments.
They are all really welcome and I am studying all the possibilities.
Stack Series #5
29 1/2 by 30"
Hand Dyed Cottons, fused and machine quilted
and in the end, I am singing right out loud...
Me at last, me at last! Thank God Almighty I am me at last.
That's it, I love, love, love no. 5
ReplyDelete#5 is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteDa-yum... you must be having such a fun time!!! (I like #2 best.)
ReplyDeleteOMG! A Mrs Mel in neutrals and I love it. It is the value change that is working here and I love it
ReplyDeleteStill love your brights the best!
ReplyDeleteyum to #5-the neutrals really are wonderful even though I usually respond more to the brights.
ReplyDelete#5 is such a departure for you, what with the neutrals and the spare quilting. But OMG, I LOVE #4! I loved it when it was just a first attempt at neutrals and now I love it with the minimal quilting that reflects the watery fabric that is so beautifully echoed in the other, more solid fabrics. Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteWonderful! this must be such bliss! It works it really works. Not over done or under done.A marriage of shape and texture that sings together!
ReplyDeleteAs ever, the colour combinations really work for me - but I find that there are three tiny pieces of fabric too many. The last small top bits of each stack look to me like a band aid on a lovely hand. But it's what YOU think of them that really matters.
ReplyDeleteHow nice to be me. (meaning you.)
ReplyDeleteThe quilting lines really support the composition in #5 - very nicely done.
