Instant Design Fun
[
I don't have a designing program on my computer, just Paint which comes with MS Office and Picasa 2 which is a free photo program (I use it to organize and upload photos here). I shot this piece of strip fused fabric and then cropped parts of it and played around with pasting the parts in different arrangements, in of all places, Word!

This is the original fused set of strips.
Below is one of the cropped parts.

Instant quilt design. In Picasa 2, I can reverse or turn upside down any image, then I copied it and put it next to or under the previous parts. It gave me many, many choices of possible ways to go.
This would work with any image, I imagine.

Fun! The patterning reminds me of Guatamalan blankets.

  2. Step away from the computer... don't be tempted...

Kidding, of course! Brilliant design excersizes.

  3. Oh that does look like fun. What is a design program? adobe photo shop C52? if so, son put it on this pc and I haven't a clue. I wish I could sit here long enough to try it...I can see the things that are possible to create.
