Groggy
The world is up already and I slept late. It must have been the two cups of coffee I had yesterday with my pal Anne Lullie.

Anne makes a point.

(Neither of us should be allowed within ten feet of caffeine.)

Because I stayed up very late knitting this thing,

Shawl # 739

made from frogging that stupid 7 ft. long scarf and selecting out the blue-purples...and adding a few new yarns to fill it out.

and then I had the throbbing arm most of the night, finally getting up at 4 to take some ibuprofen. That sent me into deep slumber, in which I designed quilt tops endlessly.
I have a plan.
It involves designing a simple simple block and making it in several values, over and over again. OK so this is not so exciting sounding. But it looked so wonderful in my dreams.
The problem is that I just sent 56 pounds of fabric to NY yesterday. Now I have nothing to play with. I have some leftover mixed dye from yesterday so my first plan is to dye something that will work for my design. Not purples, blues and magentas.
I will use the microwave method and go for colors outside my normal palette. They looked really good in my dreams.
But then so did I.

The shawl is gorgeous and the fabrics you dyed are gorgeous. I can always count on you. You have the best sense of color of anyone out there. You manage to take my breath away time and time again.

That is so funny about the coffee, and seeing what you stayed up late making. That's one of the reasons I gave up coffee 6 years ago, and now I can sleep, sort of.
Glad to hear I am not the only one who dreams about quilting, and I look better in my dreams, too, and I have hair! (Tell you DH Dave that one!0

When you act on your dreams you are opening yourself up to more and better dreams. Imagine that!

  4. So what's your microwave method and why, or is that tomorrow's blog?

  5. Coffee ahhhh...I have to have at least two cups in the morning and it stops there. Tea in the afternoon, just one cup. I am dreaming of dying fabric...those fabrics look so delicious!!
