With a tiny bit of coaching ( Honey, on your way home, bring me two dozen red roses) Dave arrives with armloads of roses and a very nice speech/apology about not making a big deal about my winning a first place. It was unnecessary but warmly accepted. Having just seen the first Godfather movie again, I was reminded of the guy who was practicing what he would say to Don Corleone when it was his turn. Dave sounded like he had memorized his lines too. What a sweetie he is. I am such a lucky gal.
Still can't wipe that smile off my face.
Gorgeous flowers. From your own garden?
ReplyDeleteooo. they match your kitchen! is this the upstairs one or the downstairs?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your award! I feel lucky to have seen the quilt at the New Jersey show. The background is amazing with all the snippets.
ReplyDeletePlease tell Mr. Wonderful that I love his beard!
ReplyDeleteI'm an idiot. I didn't even notice that they were roses yesterday! All I saw was that terrific color! Plus, why do I always visit your blog during the time between posting pictures and writing text? Stalking is very difficult.
