Doing Nuthin'

Hello again.
There is something strange afoot. My email now works but for some reason I am not getting my Blogarithm updates. I checked my fave blogs and they are all new, so what gives?
I have been doing nothing creative for the past two days and having a wonderful time. This has got to stop.
I am cooking for Easter and here is the menu. I tried really hard to stay away from Mexican Food. You can see I didn't quite make it.

Baked Salmon with garlic/cucumber sour cream
Chili Rellenos con Queso en Mole
Frijoles Negros Refritos
Whipped Chipotle Potatoes
Green Beans Almondine
For Dessert: Eli's Turtle Cheesecake
My brother Cary and Rose his girlfriend will be our guests and we are going to use Dave's new Ebay purchase, THE GOLD FLATWARE.
There will be pictures.
I rented a dvd from Netflix about a month ago and finally watched it. Rumpole of the Bailey, the Lost Episode. It was actually the pilot for the series. Not as funny as the rest of the series became but important viewing for Rumpole aficionados. I realize I am alone in this club.
You will note in my Wish List that I hope someday to enjoy a glass of wine at Pomeroy's Wine Bar, which is oft mentioned on the Rumpole series. He is always up for a glass of Chateau Thames Embankment which sets off giggles for me.
This is a very rare sense of humor I have been dealt. But it allows me to find you all very entertaining, so there.
I am meeting Laura and hopefully Frieda for coffee at Panera at 8:30 this morning and we will split 150 yards of silk charmeuse for our dyeing delights. O Boy!

  1. You are definitely not alone. I think Rumpole is great and always good for a laugh. Something about that wry British sense of humor. I haven't seen the video you mentioned so will have to start looking. And reading about your Easter dinner is making me hungry!

  2. I love the first couple seasons of Rumpole. Don't know what happened later, but changes in the staff just left it less appealling.

And Rumpole's comments are fabulous. I see women everywhere wearing those "she who must be obeyed" tshirts without understanding the reference.

    sigh.

  4. I didn't watch Rumpole. Shock of shocks. Your menu (sans fish) sounds yummy. I'm making veggie chili and banana bread (yes with whole wheat pastry flour because we must remember our intestines).

The blogrithm delivery has been wacky for me since I've signed up. It tells me the day after everything has been updated. I've usually seen everything. Odd.

I am jealous of all the silk (which I don't use, but want). I am jealous of the Panera (yummy yum yum). I am jealous of the company (I know that singing is involved).

Haven't seen Rumpole. Sigh....and I love Brit humor.

Sure wish I could heist some of that silk!! My meager 10 yds is ready to dye as soon as it warms up a little....probably this coming week when we are expecting to hit 60.

Your Easter dinner sounds great. We have the Township Hall for a card party/ 50th birthday for sis-in-law April (who was born April 1) on Saturday night and all day Sunday for Easter. It's great because we don't mess up anyone's house and the kids have LOTS of room to run around indoors or out.

    Have a lovely Easter.
