Things Change
When I started this blog back in November of 2004 Dave was still working and the house was really quiet in the morning. Now that he is retired and home everyday, I am not so lonesome.
Popeye always accompanies us, and guards the deck from chipmunks. But once he falls asleep they could invade in great numbers, undisturbed.
I must always check on the progress of my crop of basil and it is doing very well, thank you.
We have a robin's nest in our maple and tons of very loud cardinals which woke me up today at 4:30. I am not complaining. The earlier I am up the sooner I can be out on the deck absorbing my vitamin D.
Nothing much happens for hours. Just listening and chatting and slurping coffee.
Some things change for the better...what a wonderful way to start your day...may all your mornings be full of love and laughter.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky woman you are, and what a lucky man is Dave...
ReplyDeleteSeems like you 2 have a well-laid out plan. Can't get any better can it!
ReplyDeleteSometimes all your problems can prevent you from appreciating that which you have. It'll get better.
ReplyDeleteWell, it seems that everything is about right now...being content is good. And Dave is lovely.
ReplyDeleteOh, how lovely!
ReplyDeleteHey, a Dave sighting. Your garden looks wonderful. Great to see the gardener relaxing.
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lovely way to start each day.
ReplyDeleteAnd say a big Hello to Dave for me- seeing his picture makes me miss his presence in the blog-o-sphere. Wish him well for me.
