If it would only rain long enough to fill the pond with brand new water for the fishies and froggies. Can you see the hose on the bottom right? Dave has been filling the pond with our well water, a little bit everyday. I call it recycling.
I brought in some hydrangea to enjoy the color without getting wet. The blue is really dark purple, but you get the idea. The pink came from a different bush.
The rain spills the hosta leaves open and I spotted a heucherella hiding underneath these big mounds...I will have to find a new home for one of them.
On the dawg's agenda for the day...Zzzzz, Zzzzz, Zzzzz,
It's a great day to roast a loin of pork, watch movies on Netflix and do a little knitting on my new project. I'd tell you what it is, but I haven't decided yet. I'll have to make up my mind in a few rows.
Dave is out in the garage working on the Chevvie. He got plates, insurance and a replacement bumper yesterday, so he is now configuring a trailer hitch. I'll call him in at lunchtime.
I started following your blog after watching the quilting video about the Chicago school of quilters. If I'm not careful, I'm going to have to learn how to knit, now, too!

ReplyDeleteI love the nice glass jar full of rawhide dog chews! So elegant with the wine. Do you indulge in a good chew sometimes? Or do the doggies get a little wine in their water bowls? Ha Ha.

ReplyDeleteHe is doing much better without that bad medication he was on before. No complications in over a year, so yes, he can drive again.
Thanks for giving me my photo-fix with your hydrangeas! Probably my favorite. Well, or maybe the hostas. You must have a big job when the rain is scarce. In this heat I have to water every day, but I only have two small flowerbeds.
