Finito
My darling sister Brooke dropped in for a surprise visit so I had her take this pictures of the finished poncho. Afterwards I blocked it a bit to smooth out the ribs. This is an indoor poncho, and just right to keep the bod warm. So soft and cushy. And while she was watching TV and snoozing, I made this mock turtleneck tee. It goes together better in person than in this shot.
I'm not sure about this view, but it was worth taking a picture for future reference.

I am getting excited about Quilt Along with Melody in February, and so I have been collecting ideas on my Pinterest Board.
See this board. And then the painting board which also has some very quilty designs.
I would like to focus more on making art quilts this time around and so we will start by making something small. I don't want to jump the gun, but I have IDEAS!

Pretty!!! Looks so cozy!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait for Feb! I like all I saw on Pinterest. Keep us posted!!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors together. You must have a serger. I've gotten away from making my cloths like I used to. The stretchy fabric would be good though.
ReplyDeleteGreat Pinterest boards. Oooh! I'm looking forward to this event!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty color. I love to crochet. I used to make afghans and dolls. I stopped for ages. Recently I picked it up again to make baby hats...inspired by my job as a mother baby nurse.
ReplyDeleteNice needle work!
Perfect for those chilly evenings!
ReplyDeleteYou're having a Quilt Along in Feb.?! What a fabulous way to celebrate my birthday month. Can just anyone join in? Even me? :)
