Dave is in the garage calling, but the long walk in the rain will be the trial. Chester the elder takes the plunge as Dave calls and calls.
Chumley is reluctant.
Even tho Chester has led the way, Chum still is considering the challenge.
Beware of the Dog...ha! |
Chester gets the beloved spot in the van!
Brave Chumley crosses No Dawg Land.
Their reward, breakfast!
That's my giggle for the day! If i ever get a dawg, it's going to be a pug!
ReplyDeletethat's completely adorable. :)
ReplyDeleteBut did they pee?
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute and funny! They look adorable in their rain gear too!
ReplyDeleteMy dogs are the same way. They will only step out the doggie door a few steps in bad weather and just long enough to do their business. If it's thundering, however, they hide and stay hidden until it's all over with.
D~~~~
that is so darn stinking cute!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious. With a dachshund and a pug, I have the same problem. And yes, I had the same question as Willa.
ReplyDeleteYou should really write a book!
ReplyDeleteYour photo essay was hilarious! Perfect photos and perfect narration. Love those guys.
ReplyDeleteWonderful, wonderful, thank you
ReplyDeleteOk that totally made my day.
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that??? But, honestly...can you blame them for not wanting to go out in the pouring rain...even with "raincoats"??? Made me chuckle...thanks I needed that :)
ReplyDeleteToo funny - with their little coats, they look like mini secret agent men. This would make a really cute children's book.
ReplyDeleteWhen I scrolled down to the picture of them both seated and grazing out from the open hatch with expressions like "What the hay?" I was just snorting. Aren't dogs great! How did people entertain themselves before the domestication of the dog?
ReplyDeleteHurray for them. My dogs just sit with crossed paws for the weather to change. It was really bad when we had a foot of snow. Ms. Hope, the Bassett was very upset with the idea of squatting in the snow. She would look at me with those big sad bassett eyes as if to say, "You're kidding me...right?!"
ReplyDeleteThey are so cute and you are such a wonderful story teller. It mad me smile!
ReplyDeleteVery cute story.... BUT I did not see any dog do his business.....and to me dogs out must do their business on cold and rainy days.... I have resorted to a leash that goes on one and out we go to a certain spot and then I stand firmly in place until the business is done. One dog believes me more than the other....
ReplyDeleteMelody, You are hilarious! Made my day!
ReplyDeleteHA, Melody, great story / film!
ReplyDeleteHad a goog giggle! First I thought wjy you didn't make those raincoats yourself ?!? But now I can see they're really sophisticated: even have a back pocket (for the change ???)
Dave's Reward?
ReplyDeleteI don't blame them one bit for not wanting to go out in that weather...with or without a coat!
ReplyDeleteWonderful Melody! My internet has been down for t-w-o weeks - and that's far too long to miss your creative life and my daily dose of dawgs! I sympathise with the dogs! We had snow for the first time in 20 years a while back and the golden retriever loved the snow but couldn't get the hang of piddling when there was on green stuff! She finally found a sheltered bit where there was grass right at the edge, but she was one confused lass.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great laugh
Oh, that is GLORIOUSLY funny! I just love dogs and their personalities!
ReplyDeleteTotally adorable. Imagine turning up your nose to a stylish fleece-lined raincoat! My sister put a coat on her dog once and he fell over and refused to move. She dubbed it the Magic Paralyzing Coat and didn't stop laughing for days... :-)
ReplyDeleteThose coats are a riot!!! Very nice, but, oh, so funny!!
ReplyDeleteHonestly! This post made me laugh out loud!!! You and your Dawgs are too funny. I must say - the coats look a bit stiff and perhaps they thought so as well... Can't wait to hear how they do the next rainy day. It reminds me of when I put Christmas collars with bells on our cats. They stood stock still for several seconds and then ran around the house like maniacs. We were laughing so hard!
ReplyDeleteThis is great! I have to take my dog out under an umbrella...nice to know she's not the only dog who hates rain!
ReplyDeleteso cute....just love doggies.....thanks for sharing!!!
