Girl's Day Out but Inside

I went to Mary's Monday and got to see her beautiful home, lotsa quilts and quilts in progress.

Is this a cool quilt ladder or what?

As usual, when you see them in person they are even more wonderful than on the blog. Amazing stuff.

And Mary invited her friend Margo Claybo to join us, and now I have another new friend.
Margo brought show and tell and I nearly fainted at her glorious applique and quilting. I especially liked this little boy and his red pig. Adorable.

Mary made a delicious lunch which I would have taken pictures of had I not been talking my head off. I talked so much I almost lost my voice. Must try and calm down...
This is a picture I swiped from Mary's blog because I am super excited (gosh, I still am so excited) about Mary's great design wall idea. She used Command Strips Hooks like this to hang her design wall styrofoam panels. I am DOING THIS TODAY. No nails and the hooks won't hurt your walls. I need a bigger design wall now that I am making bigger quilts. Woowoo!

PS. Don't forget to visit my quilts on ebay. And also see my quilt here on Modern Day Quilts

Neat hook idea. How thick is the styrofoam, and which command strip hook was purchased?

  3. What a great day you had!

I'm just gobsmacked at that second picture (the quilt that looks like tree trunks/branches on the design wall).

  6. What a great idea. Mine is held up with industrial strength velcro strips but it's not really what I would call sound. I am using polar fleece for the surface. What is hers?

  7. WOW - what quilting! Great hook idea. Read the label - don't hang anything on the hook for at least an hour - amazing how things work better when you read the directions!! Love those hooks!! Where are the "arfers"?

Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and
screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her
ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
